Pt. Mackenzie Correctional Farm Education Programs

Adult Basic Education (ABE) Includes basic academic instruction in reading, writing, and computational skills below the ninth-grade level.

Secondary education in the form of instruction leading to a General Equivalency Diploma (GED).

InsideOut Dad is a program for incarcerated fathers that includes 12 one-hour core sessions and 26 one-hour optional sessions. The format allows a program to vary from very basic to very advanced depending on the need of the fathers. It can be implemented in a group or in a one-on-one setting.

Budgeting, Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills and Workplace Literacy.

Basic computer instruction

Certification in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint

An introduction to the field of construction. Includes basic safety, construction math, introduction to tools and workplace literacy.

Basic Electrical Theory CD/Book based course. One must work in the Electrical Department to participate.

Designed to teach skills necessary to maintain a Commercial Drivers License. It consists of 12 videos, a comprehensive exam and a driving simulator.

Learn to repair and maintain the most common engines used on small machines like lawn mowers. A hands-on-class supplemented with class time.

Learn to type, make spreadsheets, databases, and type word documents. Could lead to Microsoft Office Certification
