The Department of Corrections Training Academy is located at 515 East Dahlia, Palmer, Alaska. The DOC Academy staff primarily performs the basic training for new employees at the department as well as key specialty training, most notably instructor development classes to prepare the network of instructors who perform most of the department's in-service training.
