About SCCC

Spring Creek Correctional Center is a maximum security, state operated adult correctional institution located in Seward, Alaska. The institution has a capacity of over 500 male inmates and employs more than 200 staff. While much of Spring Creek’s inmate population serve long term sentences, the institution also houses prisoners serving sentences from three to ten years. Rehabilitative programs include ABE/GED, parenting, cognitive skills, anger management, substance abuse, and prerelease programs. Spring Creek is also the AK Department of Corrections’ largest provider of mental health services.
