Flagpole Dedication 20th Anniversary of AMCC |

Monday's flagpole dedication at AMCC Monday was attended by an honor guard including
Alaska State Trooper Sgt. Rodney Johnson, and National Guard member Reggie Bright (center)
who also offered the invocation.

The United States and Alaska flags carry the wind off the Bering Sea at the newly-dedicated flagpole
at Anvil Mountain Correctional Center in Nome. Governor Murkowski declared the week Alaska
Correctional Facilities Week in honor of the dedication which marked the 25th anniversary of the
Nome facility.
