Parole Administrator: Jeffrey Edwards
The Parole Administrator assists the Executive Director in agency
administration, and provides the technical assistance and broadly
based parole related training to the Executive Director, the Board,
and probation/parole officers throughout the Alaska Department of
Corrections. This position is physically located in Anchorage,
Alaska --- and organizes, attends, and participates in most parole
hearings. The Parole Administrator is a resource for parole
officers statewide to use in daily caseload management, and parole
related time accounting.
Parole Board Officer: Vacant
The Parole Board Officer assists the Executive Director, the Parole
Administrator, Board members, Board staff and probation/parole
officers within the Alaska Department of Corrections. This position
is responsible for attending parole hearings, monitoring the
mandatory parole process for establishment of conditions by the
Board, serving as a resource for parole officers to use in daily
caseload management, processing extraditions and Governor's
Warrants, some oversight of investigations related to executive
clemency requests, and monitoring parole eligible Alaska inmates
who remain incarcerated in Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP)
facilities, and coordinates and attends many Board hearings.
Criminal Justice Technician: Marie McNamara
The Criminal Justice Tech provides paraprofessional, technical and
administrative support to the Parole Board and Board staff. This
position assists in data analysis and research for inclusion in the
annual reports to legislators as well as the public.
Office Assistant: Nancy Daugherty
The Office Assistant provides technical and administrative
support to the Executive Director and Board Members of the Alaska
Board of Parole, serving as primary office position for
administrative coordination aspects of parole.
