Help Support Wildwood’s Relay for Life

I have been involved with Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) for over a decade and this is my second year as the Team Captain of my Local Team. I am extremely passionate about this organization. I know I can safely say most all people have been affected by cancer in some form or fashion in their life.

The event is scheduled for June 2, 2017 (6pm-Midnight) and will be held at Skyview High School in Soldotna. I realize this is early; however, we have already started to collect donations. I love this event as we honor survivors, caregivers, and supporters! Much of the money raised here in Alaska stays here. For example, it is used for travel to medical treatment and the chapter here works with airlines to help those in the bush get to treatment along with their caregivers. The other amazing thing is 94% (94 cents from every dollar raised) goes back out in the form of research, treatments, travel expenses, wigs, and emotional/counseling support.

When I started my involvement with Relay, I had NO idea how much help was offered. Since, then I have sadly lost count of how many people I know who have passed, survived, or have been recently diagnosed with cancer. This is just a small statement about my passion for this cause. Please consider donating on this site:

There is no one that isn’t touched by cancer.

Thank you.
